Some people seek serenity at Camelot- others for a Brigadoon.
I found mine at Jimsomare.
A 100-acre working ranch, now growing grapes for Ridge Winery,
Jimsomare's rich history coexists with the present.
Nestled in the northern California foothills of Cupertino, the family-owned ranch
maintains that history in their own private museum.
It silently guards the past- in the midst of twisting grape vines.
An empty barn marks the place of one-time race horses, and the competitions held on the ranch.
The saddles and tack are still in place,
hanging beneath names of their the long-ago owners.
One expects them to appear at any moment- saddle up- and run- one more time.
What should be eerie is instead wondrous.
And the light that shines upon Jimsomare illuminates all of it's beauty with magic.
I hope you find the magic that is Jimsomare in this selection of photos.
